The checklist
- Dry: moisture ruins crackers. Keep cartons off the floor on pallets or planks.
- Cool: away from sunlight, heaters, lamps and electrical panels.
- Separate: keep stock away from fuel, gas cylinders and other flammables.
- Ready: sand and water buckets and an extinguisher where you can reach them.
- No smoking or open flame anywhere near the stock.
- Store only what your licence allows.
Unpacking
Open cartons as you need them, not all at once. Keep sealed cartons as long as you can, because they protect the boxes from damp and damage.
